Good Morning Frank.....

Not mentioned in routine orders but in other documents, "Drunk and Disorderly, Refusing a Direct Order and Fighting".......

If you read between the lines, got drunk told to do something I know not what, and resisting that order.....

When they were all placed on the ships later on to go to Natal all charges and punishments were dropped for him and others......

Hi Frank.....

You must remember that about 35% of these men were ex-Mounties or people who have had some military training..... And the remainder were made up of rough and ready cowboys who used to be a law of their own and all volunteers..... Just like trying to break a wild horse but once done ended up being the best you have ever seen.....
