No. 2 Telegrams
The following telegram is published for the information of the command:
From P.M.O. Green Point to Col. Steele, Strathcona's Horse - Banks is Dead, Woodward sent Home, Niblock is going Home, Hayse gone Home, others all right.
No. 3 Struckoff
Regt. No. 171 Pte. Banks, E.M., having died at Cape Town is hereby struck off strength of the regiment. The data of the above private's death not having been given by the P.M.O. it will remain vacant until same is received.
No. 4. Transfer
The following transfer will date from July 1st, 1900. Reg. No. 465 Sergt. Brothers from 3 Troop "C" Squadron to No. 3 Troop "B" Squadron. Regt. No. 271 Sergt. Grabell from No. 3 Troop "B" Squadron to No. 3 Troop "C" Squadron they will take over their arms etc.
No. 5 Promotions
The following promotions will date from July 1st, 1900.
To be Sergeant - Reg. No. 343 Cpl. Duncan, D.J.
To be Corporal - Reg. No. 501 L/Cpl Humphrey, W.
To be A/Corporals - Regt. No. 384 Pte. McMullin, J.H., Reg. No. 354 Pte. Johnston, A.W.
No. 6 Moves
The regiment will move tomorrow at 6.15 am tents will be taken. The orders for the move are the same as those issued in No. 4 Brigade Orders of 28/06/00. They will form up in mass in the same place as the regiment formed up this a.m.
No. 7 Reports
The O.C. is pleased with the report of Major Belcher, Commanding the patrol furnished today by the regiment, of the manner in which the duties were carried out.
