Regimental Order

-0-0-0-0-0-

Orders by Lt. Col. Steele
Commanding "Strathcona's Horse"
Wessels Farm, Transvaal

30th June 1900

No. 1 Detail for Tomorrow:

Orderly Officer of the day: Lieut. Ketchen
Next for Duty: Lieut. Benyon

No. 2 Duty

The regiment will be on duty tomorrow, Dominion Day. "A" Squadron will furnish the advance guard and will form a screen across the front of the advance and two sections on either flank about a mile from the column with two more sections about half-way to support. Everyone must be on alert and watchful while on their duties as the safety of the whole force depends on them. The column will pass through a defile during the march and great care must be exercised when approached and examining. The advance scouts and flankers will scour the hills, dismounted if necessary, the led horses being brought along under cover as much as possible. Mr. Kyle C.H.A. will be in charge of the advance scouts.
