No. 4 Operations

The O.C. considers the operations of today were carried out very creditably and he further considers that all the men did their duty to the utmost, but he wished to impress on all ranks that the greatest caution should be observed by Officers, N.C.O.'s and Men and where there is any doubt as to friend or enemy the former should be the least thought of and cover taken until and doubt is dispelled. The O.C. cannot understand how the enemy could be mistaken for our own men as was the case in operations yesterday.
