The following horse having died at Volkrust is hereby struck off the strength of the regt. Reg. No. 351.
No. 2 Horses
The following horse having been transferred to the re-mount depot, Newcastle is hereby struck off the strength of the regiment. Reg. No. 910
No. 3 Casualty
Reg. No. 483 Pte. McNicholl, A., having died at Newcastle of Enteric Fever as struck off the strength of the regiment from the 19th July 1900.
No. 4 Transfer due to Illness
The undermentioned men proceeded to England per S. S. Kildonan Castle on the 23rd June -

No. 6 Horses
There will be a muster parade of horses to-morrow at 5.pm. Horses will be brought in from herd at 4.pm. The horses will be formed up and each troop officer will have a roll of his horses called at 5 o'clock. A general roll of the Regt will be called when each horse will be checked off and sent to the lines it which it belongs. The horses picked this morning and put on the sick lines will not be sent here to-morrow. The other horses will be sent out immediately after breakfast. On no account must the herd be driven through the lines of other regiments.

A court of enquiry composed as under will assemble at the orderly room No. 2 Field Troop, R.E. at 10.am to investigate the circumstances under which horses and mules were lost, also to investigate the circumstances under which articles of equipment &c were lost during the recent operations.

Attention is directed to para 2074, Queen's Regulations which clearly defines the manner in which official documents are to be signed, Viz. that the rank and corps of officers are always to be added after their signatures. On no account whatever may an officer whether staff, regimental of departmental, attach his initials in lieu of his signature to an official document. The instructions contained in above quoted para are to be strictly adhered to.
