THATS ON THE RAMC WAR MEMORIAL IF IT IS CAN YOU TELL ME HOW HE DIED

Hi Casey.....

The only G. F. Currie on the CWGC roll was in the Navy and died in WW1.....

The memorial is situated at the top of Gun Hill, Aldershot, near the Cambridge Military Hospital.
It commemorates 314 officers and men of the Royal Army Medical Corps who died in the South African War.

Erected by the officers, warrant and non-commissioned officers and men of the Royal Army Medical Corps in memory of their comrades of the Corps.

Currie died at Naauwpoort, Cape Colony on the 30th of April 1900, his medal was issued on the 24th of November 1902, his unit appears to have been Number 5 General Hospital RAMC, but, as far as the medal is concerned, it was issued of the roll of Number 6 General Hospital.
