Inscription on the family headstone in Earlsheaton Cemetery, Dewsbury.

"died while on active service in South Africa, June 14th 1900, aged 19 years"
Son of Alfred and Ellen Senior.

His name also appears on the ABW memorial plaque in All Saints Church, Dewsbury, with the additional information that he was a Private in the Dewsbury Detachment of the 1st Volunteer Battalion, King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry, and died at Hoopstad.
