Hello

Newark Local Studies have been very helpful but they cannot find anything in their archives or newspaper index relating to this scroll.

So this ranks as a "long lost discovery" (if that makes sense).

Next logical step would be to read their microfilmed papers, I will need to hire a researcher for this.

Afternoon all

I heard back from Notts Archives who conducted a paid search of records relating to Balderton, they found nothing. In their report they note that church documents and parish council minutes for the turn of the century are not in their collection, despite the catalogue implying this to be the case.

The search continues.
