My thanks to Stephen Henders, churchwarden at St. Cuthbert's, for showing me the memorial and the church; also to Paul Robinson, the rector, and Brian Heaton, the verger.

Stephen Henders has written a book on the history of the church, proceeds go to the church spire restoration appeal.
