Thank you for sharing this battle standard with us. I think it is very sad that regiments such as the KOSB no longer exist, but at least relics of their existence are still being cared for.

PS I read up about Chitral after I acquired a medal to a man who had been on the expedition to relieve its siege. It has a fascinating history, but is now sadly isolated again by the trouble on the NW Frontier. It was mentioned by the BBC over the weekend because of the recent flooding there.
