Corporal Christopher Moore 1st Worcestershire Regiment Mortally wounded at Bethlehem on October 28th 1900, aged 21

Private David Millward Worcestershire Regiment

Cooksey and Moore have individual memorials in this church, both already posted.

I could not find any listing (either SAFF or Palmer) regarding "Sgt. Edward Sutton, Yorkshire Regt".
The book "First or Grenadier Guards in S.A." shows "5926 Cpl. W.Cooksey" of 8th Coy. as the Battalion's only man KiA on that day.
Palmer roll shows "5034 Cpl.C.Moore" as wounded 26/10/00 and died 28/10/10.
Palmer roll shows "4191 Pte.G.Pearson" as KiA, Middlefontein on 23/1/01.
Palmer roll shows "3893 Pte. D.Millward" as Died of Disease, Kroonstad, 8/1/02.

Apparently not listed on the Yorkshire Regiment's ABW memorial either. www.roll-of-honour.com/Yorkshire/YorkshireRegtBoerWar.html

King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry, Duke of Wellington's Regiment (West Riding), or The Prince of Wales's Own (West Yorkshire Regiment) perhaps?

Had a look on the West Yorks QSA roll and I did not see an E.Sutton there. Some of the writing was hard to decipher, so ......The Palmer roll shows quite a few Suttons; x2 with E forename - but both WiA and to Devons and Worcesters. Two "Sutton" casualties (no "E")in the Palmer roll for the Y@L Regt, however. I suppose it is possible that our Sgt.E.Sutton may have succumbed to disease after his return to the UniK?

or The Register - Sutton died at Netley September 1902 - don't know the cause of death, could have equally been related to his war service or not.
