Yes, they truly are treasures. The jug is a very scarce item.

It warms my heart to see the images of 6027 Private Dai St. John's medals and to know they are with the family.
He never got to wear his Queen's South Africa medal, but he would definitely have been able to wear the Queen's
Sudan medal with pride.

ANOTHER DAI ST. JOHN JUG!

Recently arrived and very well packaged, I have just received an example of the above mentioned jug from a popular online auction site.



Free from cracks and with the handle still intact. The gilt to the scroll details has all but been rubbed off.

No manufacturers marks unfortunately, but I would imagine that they would have been on the market not too long after his death at Belmont on 23rd November 1899.
