Burns Begg, of Kitchener's Horse, who has been appointed assistant officer (Intelligence Department) to General Maxwell, Military Governor of Pretoria, is a Fifeshire man [incorrect - he was from Kinross-shire], and was called to the Scottish Bar in 1895.
