In New Hall Lane Cemetery, Preston.

My thanks to IL for identifying him under an alternative spelling of his surname as 3776 Private R. Wilcox, 1st Loyal North Lancashire Regiment, died of Disease, Orange River, 2/3/00.

'Red Roses on the Veldt' has him as 3776 Private K. Wilcock.

The full inscription of the gravestone reads: -

APRIL 8TH 1887, AGED 15 YEARS.
ALSO OF ANN BILLINGTON, WHO DIED
JULY 22ND 1891 AGED 52 YEARS
ALSO OF JOHN LINGARD, BROTHER OF
THE ABOVE, WHO DIED DECR 20TH 1899,
AGED 72 YEARS.
ALSO OF RALPH WILCOCK, SON OF THE

Ralph Wilcock's birth was recorded in the Manchester Registration District, in the 3rd quarter of 1873, his mother's maiden surname being Lingard. That was Ann, so she was born Lingard, and became Wilcock by marriage; then Billington by a second marriage?

Medal roll confirms 'Wilcock'.

Wonder what the original grave marker read.
