In St John the Evangelist's churchyard, Plumpton, about four miles north of Penrith, Cumbria.




JOHN IRVING
WHO DIED AT PLUMPTON
20TH MAY 1881, AGED 47 YEARS.
ALSO OF ELIZABETH, HIS WIFE
WHO DIED AT PLUMPTON,
18TH AUGT 1926, AGED 80 YEARS.
ALSO OF HANNAH, THEIR DAUGHTER
WHO DIED AT PLUMPTON FOOT,
21ST FEBY 1876, AGED 8 MONTHS.
ALSO OF WILLIAM JOSEPH , THEIR SON
WHO DIED AT PRETORIA,
6TH MAY 1902, AGED 25 YEARS.
ALSO OF TOM JEFFERSON, THEIR SON
WHO DIED AT THIRSK,
28TH MARCH 1924, AGED 47 YEARS.
ALSO ANNIE, THEIR DAUGHTER WHO DIED AT
EAST CURTHWAITE 1ST FEBY 1933, AGED 67 YEARS.
