I believe the attached picture is a memorial to Col. Benson and the men who died at Bakenlaagte in October 1901. Can anyone confirm please. Also I assume this would be on "Gun Hill". Again, can anyone confirm?

My grandfather (a driver in the 84th Batt.) was at the battle but survived. My guess is he was with one of the other guns, rather than the ones on Gun Hill. I think he either took the picture himself, after the war, or one of his comrades did so.
