Hi Berenice

In the second phase of the war the 14th Hussars were chiefly employed in the Eastern Transvaal and about the passes in the Newcastle district, where they frequently had skirmishes. Also, part of the regiment served in Western Transvaal.
So, In my humble opinion Private Mouser was probably KIA in KwaZulu - Natal
You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.
Best regards,
Dave

I would agree with Dave. The casualties for the 14th Hussars just before Mouser's death were at Muller's Pass and a few weeks afterwards at Van Reenan's Pass.

The 14th Hussars had one killed and 3 wounded on 20 June 1901.
