I cam across this picture of a memorial to the Royal Dublin Fusiliers at the Tugela River the other day, does anyone know if it still exiats?

Yes, the Dublin Fusiliers monument does still exist. The photograph below was taken when I visited in 1981.

It is situated close to the remains of "Pom-pom Bridge", which spanned Grobler's Kloof Spruit / Langverwagspruit at its confluence with the Tugela.

Next month a colleague and will be doing a talk on a Sgt. from the 2 Royal Dublin Fusiliers who won the DCM at Colenso, for his Grandson and extended family who are coming to Dublin from Texas to mark the 150 anniversary of his birth. It will be nice to show them a more up to date photo and confirm that the memorial is still standing.
