Here is the memorial in the Kroonstad Garden of Remembrance which shows Robert Brogden's name.

Berenice,

The Casualty Roll of the "South African Field Force" has him as 4454 Pte A.Brogden, 3rd Dragoon Guards and as having Died of Disease in Kroonstad on the 27th Jan 1902 which is the date inscribed on the headstone in your picture.

The memorial shows the 18th Jan 1902 ??
