djb Offline Administrator Posts: 34522 Thank you received: 5355	I looked up AMDG as I did not know what it meant. The abbreviation stands for Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam which is Latin for To the Greater Glory of God. Dr David Biggins

I was curious as to whether there's a national St John Ambulance Brigade memorial for all or any conflicts which is how I found the S.A. War Medal website. Surprisingly, there doesn't seem to be a national memorial for the SJAB.

Alexp Offline Fresh recruit Posts: 14 Thank you received: 2	I must admit the SJAB HQ records are a bit misleading I questioned a Great Uncles records Pte William Harold Prescott Preston Corps and they came back with inaccurate information when I questioned it I never got a reply. a plaque was sited in the Old Preston Hospital not demolished but the plaque is in the Preston SJAB HQ
