The plaque is now in the Staffordshire Regiment Museum in Whittington, Staffordshire.

This Tablet
is erected by the Town of Rugeley
to commemorate the Patriotism of her Sons
who
at a time of national emergency
gave up their Civil Occupations
and served their Country in the Boer war
South Africa 1899 - 1902
