OF C SQUADRON QUEENS OWN ROYAL REGIMENT STAFFORDSHIRE IMPERIAL YEOMANRY
AND OTHER MEMBERS OF ITS ACTIVE SERVICE TROOP
WHO LOST THEIR LIVES IN THE SOUTH AFRICAN WAR

TROOPER E BENTLEY Q.O.R.R. OF TUTBURY. DIED AT HARRISMITH O.R.C. JANUARY 10 1901.
TROOPER W WISE Q.O.R.R. OF LICHFIELD. DIED AT VAN REENANS O.R.C. DECEMBER 29 1900.
TROOPER T EVANS OF SUTTON COLDFIELD. KILLED IN ACTION AT SLOBBERTS NEK O.R.C. JULY 23 1900.

The sheer number of memorials inside this particular church came as rather a surpise, the walls are covered with them.

Another fine memorial, thanks Berenice.

Sgt JH Temperton died at Bethlehem not Harrismith as stated on the memorial. He served with the 2 (Wiltshire) company as Squadron Quartermaster Sergeant, and is additionally commemorated on the Yorkshire County memorial, York.
