The Mafeking Mail was printed in Mafeking during the siege in the period 1 Nov 1899 to 31 May 1900.

Normally a 1-2 sides of paper, the Mail was produced on most days except Sundays. It contains news, speculation and advertisements and provides a fascinating insight into life within the town.

It is interesting to see how well informed the garrison was about events outside. For example news of the surrender at Paardeberg on 27th Feb appeared in a Special Edition of the mail on 8th March .
