Generally, there seem to be a lot more poppies in evidence this year which is really good to see.

The Football Association observed a minute's silence at the games last week. These were conducted in absolute silence and with great respect.

Hello David,
I had a note from Brett, the other day, suggesting that, the day has been forgotten in South Africa these days, I think that is very unfortunate, given, in particular, the number of casualties incurred during the Great War, from the Union

It does seem at complete contrast with the day here, I was particularly impressed with the RBL volunteers who placed hundreds of wreaths and poppies upon, walls, fences, traffic lights, lamp posts and so forth, in addition, simply the large number of people who turn out across the whole country this year.

Long may it continue, regards Frank
