I am working on the Forum this morning to see why it runs slower that the rest of the site. This may make the forum a little unpredictable this morning.

I will post again when the work completes.

I had noticed the speed had appeared to have dropped quite significantly recently, in particular, this week.

I have turned off a couple of components, including personal messaging, and that does appear to have speeded up the forum with the exception of replies which often takes around 5 - 8 seconds to post.

There have been some improvements this morning but performance is patchy. I am discussing that with the supplier.

For the time being, I have disabled commenting on articles and personal messaging in the forum.
