I was very sad to read in Medal News today that David Lloyd has passed away. Our paths used to cross usually at the National Archives where he was always helpful, giving guidance and help to others. I remember many years ago I was looking for some Naval QSAs roll in the WO100 series (I know!) and obviously having some difficulty finding them. I sought David's help and he gently chided me that the Admiralty awarded medals too!

I used to enjoy chatting to him and will miss him.

The worst possible news to receive upon getting up this morning, very sad.

It would certainly be nice to buy even a single lot from his collection.
