For a long time, one of the most popular pages on the site has been the Army MIDs. This consists of a single page listing all the MID and was sourced from the South African Honours and Awards.
Building on this information and the research by Michael Maton, I have added the MID data to site's register of names so that the MIDs appear in Name Search and the unit level listings.
The entry gives the London Gazette issue and page number. There is also a link to the London Gazette section of the site so that people can see the original format and listing. This link is not to the actual page of the MID but to the site page which lists the Boer War London Gazette entries. To locate the actual page it will be necessary to open the relevant Gazette and navigate to the page.
If time allows in the future, I will look to add the text of the mention to the entry in the site's register.
