10,410 records have been added to the site today. This is an initial upload of the roll for the BSA Company Medal.

The names can be accessed from 3 places:

1. Via Name Search: www.angloboerwar.com/name-search
2. The list of units raised for the campaign: www.angloboerwar.com/unit-information/21...africa-company-units
3. The BSACM page: www.angloboerwar.com/medals-and-awards/n...africa-company-medal

I have started to track extant medals. 417 or 4% have been identified so far. While far from complete and not a primary activity, I will refresh the records on the site periodically as new medals are recorded.

If anyone has information that can be added to the roll, please do get in touch.

The roll is incomplete and inaccurate in places (for example in determining the entitlement when rolls conflict). It is certainly true that extant medals do not always align with the rolls - but that is not uncommon as we see elsewhere.

Many thanks for your efforts on yet another topic!
As previously noted in different posts (and in case you do not have it as extant), I have my grandfather's (James Joseph Smith) BSAC medal for the Second Matabeland War following his participation in the Jameson Raid. He was with the MRF, and BSACM is marked as such and with 'Rhodesia 1896'.

David,
BSAC medal with no clasp to Major Reginald Mainwaring of the Bulawayo Field Force is still extant and in my collection.
His QSA (Commander in Chief's Bodyguard) with R Of M was part of a pair and I reported to you last year, so you may already have noted BSAC.
This roll will be a very useful resource.
Many thanks,
Steve

Hi there. Im still a newb on this forum but have just accessed the records you provided for the BSAC unit Rhodesian Horse Volunteers. I have managed to find a Cpl F L Morgan ..... excellent! I wonder how I might access the original BSAC Medal Roll to get a copy of the entry for Cpl Morgan. Ive tried Forces War Records and Ancestry but have failed to find anything. Any suggestions? Many thanks in advance!!

Hello Dr Biggins. I have the 4 parts of WO 100/77 but I cannot see any entries for the Rhodesia Horse Volunteers. Would there have been another source from which the data I found on the site here could have come from? Thanks!!
