A member of this site for over a decade, many will recognise the signature 'IL' at the end of a post. The help and support provided by IL over this period has always been recognised and reached a very notable milestone today with 1,000 thankyous being recorded on the site. An amazing achievement and testament to the approach and broad range of knowledge that IL brings, from helping those new to the site who are seeking guidance in where to start to leveraging his detailed knowledge of the Boer War, as exemplified by recent posts on the guns and artillery of the period.

IL also volunteers his time to work as a site moderator and in this role has been a great help to me in keeping the site's forum focused on its core subject matter.
