I have received several emails in the last two days from members of this site concerned that the angloboerwar.com site has been hacked and has sent them a spoof email.

This is not the case.

What seems to have happened is that Meurig Jones' Register of the Anglo Boer War site, Casus Belli, has been attacked by a benign hacker. Meurig has emailed the members of the site to inform them of the fact and offered to create a new username and password for them.

The confusion has arisen where some people have been registered on both sites and mistaken one site for the other.

The Register is currently down and we hope the site is soon back up again.
