I have been modifying the avatars that members of the site who use the forum can use. The default avatars have gone and have been deleted by more appropriate images.

Users of the forum can choose one of these, use the default forum avatar or upload their own.

These are the new elective avatars.

David,
Very nice choices indeed.

Good afternoon David,
An interesting choice, in particular, the portraits, what made you choose those particular characters?
If I was Scottish, I would choose the last! :)
If I was an ardent imperialist, I would choose the first!

The choice was partly constrained by availability last night when I was creating them but also I wanted colour pictures where possible. I did though want Wauchope and Penn Symons.

I'll keep adding to these images so that there is a wider range to choose from.

Best wishes
David

I replied to this thread a short time ago but, when I came to post, the site had disappeared!

Anyway, the QSA ribbon avatar is very striking and I like it. I also like regimental badges for avatars. I have used the Victorian Natal Carbineers helmet badge as my avatar on another forum, so I was pleased to see this subject being used here on the index page.

Brett

Intrigued by the number of Natal Rebellion Medal & Ribbon in this great selection. I am sure a fair amount of intelligent thought has gone into this collection of avatars and would like to understand these inclusions. Can you please enlighten me when you get a minute? Thanks Stephen
