Just a few pictures that I purchased today and a Very Very Big Surprise......

Visited a Antique Store today and found a few pictures thought you might like to see sorry for the quality taken with my phone, will take some better ones when I get home.....

69th Company Imperial Yeomanry, Group Photo not known when taken but looks like onboard ship and the good quality of the uniforms must be on the way to South Africa..... Size about 12" x 24"





Colourized Picture of the Surrender of Botha to the Canadian Mounted Rifles..... Size 24" x 36".....





This one is not from or about South Africa but is a nice Artillery Piece......

Hi Everyone.......

You thought that I forgot about the surprise......

Well while going though a large box of old photos, guaranteed by the seller to be 100 old or older I came across a photo of a group of 4 sailors in a turn of the century uniform.....

The photo had been well used and quite faded......

She who must be obeyed looked over my shoulder and said in a loud voice.....

"Hey isn't that You"......

Laughing I had to say "Yes it is Me".......

It had been taken during the Centennial Tattoo in 1967 and we were in costume.....

No I did not purchase the picture as I have my own copy at home.....

Over 100 Year Old........ Bah Humbug.......

That's not all..... The next day I was in another store and again there in a box of photos I found a Ships Company Picture taken in 1968, in Singapore and again there I was in the 4th row...... The two ships either side of us were H.M.S. Coventry and Devonshire......

Thanks for two interesting posts. I suspect that someone must be secretly raiding and selling off items from your photo archive. You must keep a good watch over your QSA collection. There are many first class medals there to tempt a magpie!
