Thank you for showing this memorial. It sparked a memory! Every second year for the past decade or more, my wife has visited the UK to see our younger son and her brother, both of whom have settled there. She also visits an ex-colleague of mine from the days of my gainful employment in Cape Town. This man and his wife now live in Cambridge and they have very kindly taken my wife on travels through East Anglia, during which she has taken numerous photographs (- the curse of the digital camera!). So many in fact that she sometimes forgot what she had seen and where it was located. Amongst the photos at unidentified locations was the memorial in your postcard, so I now know where it is and that she visited Bury St Edmunds!
