1899-1901. Boer War Diary and Letters by a Private in the Royal Dublin Fusiliers [sic]

Diary of Private Edward Nolan, E Coy, 2nd Battalion Royal Irish Fusiliers October 1899 to April 1901, detailing his journey on the Hawarden Castle to South Africa and describes the battles his battalion took part in; together with ten letters from him in Rawal Pindi and South Africa addressed to his parents and sister in Carlow. One letter on rear of South African Republic map missing portion. Also a studio photograph 6569 Pte. Edward Nolan, 2nd Battalion Royal Irish Fusiliers, received Queen's South Africa Medal with clasps for Cape Colony, Tugela Heights and Relief of Ladysmith; and Kings South Africa Medal with clasps for 1901 and 1902.
