Sadly, the site looks very different today. It is overshadowed by a slag heap left by the now defunct power station at Colenso. The town itself and its infrastructure have decayed to a shocking extent.

Managed to aquire another postcard of the Colenso battlefields.
This one has a Natal Colenso postmark March 06 and addressed to Mrs E Sweeney 2nd Mounted Infantry Harrismith Kings Hill.
