Hello all,

I started scanning some of the lantern slides in my collection some years ago using a scanner with a transparency adaptor and a home made slide holder. The results are not too bad although there is some slight masking of the edges. I have uploaded the images to skydrive.live.com/redir?resid=4972779B14...key=!AOpbsm3EDUImt70 where they should be viewable. I haven't mastered links in postings so suggest you cut and paste the entire address to your browser. Let me know if it works OK. If anyone can create a clickable link or tell me how to I would be grateful.

I have some more sets of black and white images but these are quite large and I haven't found the time to scan them all yet.

Regards
Paul

PS Mike, where is the list of stereoimages you refer to to be found?

Hello Paul....

I think that I may have a person who will make some copies of the glass slides for me.....

I went and checked the site where the list of slides was located and they are no longer there.... But will keep looking.....

Simplest way to copy glass slides is to photograph them using a home made light box - or some kind of light source from the reverse - against a window on a bright day??. I did this many years ago for a front cover image for Soldiers of The Queen.

I just need to find and scan the prints.........

I am sure I have a contemporary list of glass slides from one of the sets....just need to dig it out.
