As part of lot 129 in the next DNW sale is this silver snuff box which was presented to Private G Loader of the Berkshire Regiment.

The box was made by Henry Williamson Ltd and hallmarked Birmingham, 1900.

The inscription says: ‘Presented to Private G. Loader, F (Abingdon) Company, 1st V.B. R. Berks Regt. on his return from active service with the Volunteer Company, 2nd Batt. Royal Berks. Regt. in South Africa 1900-1901’
