While cleaning out my grandparents old garage (they are deceased I found boxes of German heritage items.. Some of it pertaining to the Anglo-Bore war.

My wife and I have no idea what to do with it all and as none of the history behind them was ever passed down (only one of their children survived) we don't want it all just being stored in boxes in our garage for another 50 years. Anyone know if they are worth donating, or selling (not really for the money as much as to find homes)?

nebraskaheat,

Welcome to the forum and apologies for the delay in replying to you.

That's an amazing collection of artefacts you have and in great condition by the look of it too? I have been trying to enlarge the picture so read the titles!

In terms of the options open to you. You might consider donating it to the local historical society or museum. Alternatively, you could sell individual items on a auction site or sell everything as one lot at one of the military auctioneers (DNW, Bonhams etc).

Its a shame that you don't know more of the history of these items.

Kind regards
David
