Good Afternoon Everyone.....

I got a call this morning from a local antique store who had picked up some items they thought that I may be interested in......

A Ceramic Paper Weight - Picture of Lord Roberts with written around the edge - "With Compliments - Carron Company - Christmas 1900 - Liverpool".....

What I understand is that in the 1800's The Carron Company is/was a Shipping Company..

A Change Purse that feels like shark skin with an impression is silver of Col. R.S.S. Baden-Powell and the words "The Hero of Mafeking."

I have found that if any of the dealers in my area are considerate enough to find things for you it is, if the the price is reasonable, only good manners to purchase it......

This way I have built a good relationship with many of them and in over 25 years have only rejected one item.....

Some of the dealers are also collectors in their own right and I have done the same for them in reverse..... This last weekend I found at a garage sale a box full of Pez dispensers for one friend.....
