I have added a few postcards to my collection lately.
This one depicts a naval gun during the siege at Ladysmith amongst other scenes.

Looking at the card, I started wondering why it was designed like that? So much empty space and such small pictures.

At that time I believe that you could not write a message on the same side as the stamp and address.....
