Good day, I am new to this site and got interested in the anglo boer war because my great grandfather fought in that war for the boers.I would love to get involved in research work if anyone needs a volunteer. I would also like to find out what one should do and whom to contact if you come across any boer war relics. I have found a number of pieces along the banks of the vaal river via metal detecting. What was your ggf called? Do you know which Commando he fought in?

I don't what the policy is for relics found from metal detecting. Does anyone know the SA policy?
