Dr. William Musgrove Ireland, 1868-1914 is the subject of my research. He was born in Trenton, Ontario, Canada and is reported to have served in Africa as a surgeon in the British Army. Reports indicate he was a member of the Natal Volunteers, accompanied Dr. Leander Jameson on raids and was involved in the Matabele War; was also personal physician to Cecil Rhodes.He was wounded in battle and returned to North America by 1899.I would appreciate some direction on furthering my understanding of his involvement in the African War.
