Hi Steve

There was a HG Heydeman who served as a Bridge Guard in the Boer War - thaye fell under the Natal Govt. Railwys which fits neatly with what you know of him.

He did not however, qualify for those clasps. Can you please look at the naming under the rim (the thin flat part) of the medal says?

WO100/279 medal rolls show entitlement to the Natal clasp only.
