As a brief introduction:

I have been an amature collector of medals for some time. I recently acquired two QSA's - one to a nurse, Amy Twamley and the second to Trooper Robert Worswick, Damant's Horse.

I believe Worswick is an Australian (Queenslander) who died at Bloemfontein in 1902 and I have limited info on Nurse Twamley.

I would like to research these two people and it is my hope that this site and this forum may provide me with either the tools or directions to do so.

Looking forward to being an active member of this group.

Thanks.

Hello Alan,

According to the Nominal rolls for Damant's Horse, Robert Worswick attested in Durban on the 20/12/1901 and died on enteric on the 19/02/1902.

He should also be in the Casualty Rolls.

Many thanks Adrian.

Worswick didn't see too much service from those dates??

Bit sad really :(

Regards,

Alan.
