Hi NorfolkBoy,

And a war welcome to the forum.
Records show W.H.Webb
NAME: W H Webb
CASUALTY TYPE: Wounded
CASUALTY DATE: 26 Jun 1900
CASUALTY PLACE: Senekal
RANK: Private
FORCE: South Africa Field Force
REGIMENT: Imperial Yeomanry
BATTALION: 4th Battalion
NUMBER: 1120
This I think is the Staffordshire Company raised in 1900
W H Webb is shown in WO100 121 as a Lance Corporal and receiving the clasps to his QSA for Cape Colony and Orange Free State in the remarks column it states "Invalided"
In answer to your question this War Office record does not give a definitive conclusion.
Good luck with your further research.

Cheers
Paul :)
