I've joined this society to help me research 24 never before seen photos from spion kop and other pictures of great interest from the war.

I am sure that all members of this forum will be eager to see the unpublished photographs.

this one with the Scottish rirles moving up Spion Kop,written on the back of the photo is " this is the one where he says the shells were bursting all around and the bullets are humming like bees overhead

Hi, I've joined to see if I can find a great, great, great? grandfather. The only information I have is he was a medic in the Boer War, he married a Parsee Indian lady and I am assuming his name was Ramsay, but of course he could have been an anglo indian so the name might have a different spelling such as Ramsi. I am fairly confident Ramsay is correct as the family lore has it we came over with the Normans and are related to the Clan Ramsay. I have searched various sites over the years with no success at all which makes me wonder if it's all nonsense.
