I have my grandfathers South Africa Medal and I am trying to decipher what regiment he was in during the war.
The medal reads 2342 TPR ### Richardson S.A.C.
Bars are South Africa 1902, Transvaal, Orange Free State & Cape Colony.
Anybody any idea of what the S.A.C. stands for. I think he had something to do with horses (Main form of transport in those days I suppose).
