My greatgrandfather William Vogt fought with Thorneycroft Mounted Rifles. His number is 9392. The family have lost his service medal and we would like to know what medal he received, so as we can get an unnamed copy.

9392 Pte. William Vogt, Thorneycroft's Mounted Infantry shows on return for roll on Order 1 April 1901 (WO 100/277 pg 85) Queen's South Africa Medal (QSA) with Cape Colony and Transvaal clasps. Then on Army Order 233 1 October 1902 (WO 100/277 pg 121) the addition of South Africa 1901 & South Africa 1902 clasps for his QSA.
