Yes this is he. I have all his family and history etc

The Cape Mounted Rifles is a new link, thank you.

He seems to disappear after the Boer war but doesn't appear to have been killed?

Lyndylou - One correction. I made a slip in my earlier post. He joined the Cape Mounted Police not the Cape Mounted Rifles.

Thank you. I have now found him using new snippets of information provided on here.

He married and stayed in Africa and died 18/7/1945.

Presently researching his children and grandchildren.
