Hi
I'm a new member and I joined to find out more about my new bayonet. Here are some
pictures
Its in very poor condition, but looks interesting.

I think it is an 1888 Mk 2 for a Lee Enfield rifle.
The only stamps I can see on the blade are "Wilkinson" and the bend test X.
The marks on the pommel are as follows:
"WNR" <curly, worn symbol, could be crossing-out stamp >
"99", possibly made in 1899, but why is the stamp on the pommel, not the blade.
"ILF" or possibly "ILH" (Imerpial Light Horse?) or possibly "ILE"
"472" (Possibly a rack number, or rifle number)
I would be really grateful for any input on my new bayonet.
Thanks
Euan
